熊本市に新しくオープンしたホテル「グリッズプレミアムホテル熊本」。
「熊本らしいアートを客室に展示したい」とのご依頼を受け、TokyoDexは大胆なタッチが特徴のYUH TAKUNOをキュレーションし、3種類のアートプリントを全197室に展示しました。過去にアーティスト自身が熊本地震のボランティアに向かった先で見た自然の雄大さや脅威もインスピレーションの元となっている本作品は、のびのびとしたストロークで熊本の名所である「菊池渓谷」、「大観峰」、阿蘇五岳「高岳」をイメージして描かれています。


Upon receiving a request from the newly opened "Grids Premium Hotel Kumamoto" to adorn its rooms with Kumamoto-inspired art, TokyoDex took charge of curating a collection that would resonate with the hotel's ambiance. After considering multiple artists, the hotel opted for the distinctive art style of YUH TAKUNO, renowned for her evocative representations of nature through bold touches. The result? Three distinct types of art prints, carefully selected to grace all 197 rooms of the hotel. These artworks, inspired by the awe-inspiring yet perilous beauty of Kumamoto's landscape, reflect Takuno's firsthand experiences during volunteer work following the Kumamoto earthquake. With fluid strokes, Takuno captures the essence of Kumamoto's landmarks, including "Kikuchi Keikoku," "Daikanbo," and the iconic five peaks of Aso, notably "Takadake.”
